TPACK BASED MATHEMATICS - TEACHING MODULE


These modules are sample lessons to enable you as a teacher, plan, implement and assess ICT-based mathematics lessons.

What you will learn

At the end of this course, you will be able to:

1.     The main document for the Math module is the GUIDE.

2.     The GUIDE contains 6 modules spanning junior primary, senior primary, junior secondary and senior secondary topics

3.     Each of this modules have the following

a. Lesson plan (a template that contains all the  plan for the classroom and assessment activities 

b. Lesson delivery- this is the content to be presented to the students

c. Lesson Evaluation- this is the assessment activities

d. Lesson summary

e. supporting learning resources

Description

These modules are sample lessons to enable you as a teacher, plan, implement and assess ICT-based mathematics lessons.

Format

The main document for the Math module is the GUIDE.

2.     The GUIDE contains 6 modules spanning junior primary, senior primary, junior secondary and senior secondary topics

3.     Each of this modules have the following

a. Lesson plan (a template that contains all the  plan for the classroom and assessment activities 

b. Lesson delivery- this is the content to be presented to the students

c. Lesson Evaluation- this is the assessment activities

d. Lesson summary

e. supporting learning resources

 

4.     In the lesson plan, the objectives, entry behaviour and pre-assessment is clearly stated

5.     There are various types of assessment, which include- multiple choice, click and highlight, drag and drop, memory game, clickable worksheet.

6.     Each of these assessment types are chosen based on the mathematics content. please note that all the worksheets are interactive, that is, the users can click and type in their answers. Beside/under each assessment, there is a link, that leads you to the assessment in a google drive. Each module has a folder that contains all its resources.

7.     The classroom activities, start with real life activities, showing the relevance of the topic to the real world. They are videos and digital stories. However, please not

a. the real life components of modules 1-3, have not be completed, due to my unavailability

b. you may choose to remove that section, it does not severely affect the package

8.     The classroom activities are PowerPoint slides. for each module, there is a link, to its PowerPoint slide. Please note that, Modules1-3, has videos planned, which i have not been able to shoot. i believe that at that level, the children should see more. However, in case this is not possible, the power point slides would subsist.
